Which industries and processes can ceramic slurry pumps be applied to?
Based on media and technical evaluations, ceramic slurry pumps can be used in mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, building materials, chemicals, and other process steps requiring abrasive slurry transport.
In mineral processing, they may transport fine slurry, tailings, classification overflow, or other verified abrasive media. Slurry concentration, particle size, and pipeline pressure vary across sections, so a single parameter set should not cover all pump positions.
In metallurgy, building materials, and industrial production, circulating liquids with solid particles, settled slurry, and process slurry can also be evaluated based on the actual media. If the medium involves high temperatures, strong corrosion, oil content, heavy impact, or high viscosity, suitability of the ceramic material and seal structure should be confirmed separately.
Application evaluations should specify: exact pump location in the process; upstream and downstream equipment; normal and maximum flow rates; inlet and outlet pressure requirements; particle size and solid content; pipe length, diameter, and elbow counts; continuous operation requirements; and standby pump and spare part needs.
