What Information Is Required to Replace Industrial Pump Sealing and Drive Accessories?
Shaft sleeves, stuffing boxes, packings, bearings, seals, and oil seals have mating relationships with pump shafts, bearing housings, sealing systems, and lubrication systems. Accurately identifying the product is more critical than merely providing the outer diameter of the old part or a single photograph.
For shaft sleeves, provide the inner diameter, outer diameter, length, threads, keyways, positioning structures, and seal contact positions.
For stuffing boxes, provide the bore, external profile, stuffing chamber dimensions, mounting hole positions, gland structure, flushing ports, and connection dimensions.
For packings, provide the cross-sectional dimensions, length, material, medium, temperature, pressure, and whether seal water is used.
For bearings, provide the complete model number, precision class, clearance, mounting orientation, lubrication method, and operating speed.
For seals, provide the structural type, inner and outer diameters, thickness, material, working medium, temperature, and pressure.
For oil seals, provide the inner diameter, outer diameter, width, lip structure, rotation direction, shaft surface condition, speed, and lubricating medium.
If old parts are worn, deformed, swollen, or degraded by aging, measured dimensions may not reflect original specifications. Verification should be conducted in conjunction with drawings, mounting holes, or adjacent components to prevent manufacturing or purchasing based on incorrect dimensions.
