How to Choose the Aperture Size, Material, and Structure for Vibrating Screen Mesh?
Vibrating screen mesh is used to screen and classify ore, sand and gravel, coal, slurry, or other industrial materials. Mesh selection affects screening particle size, throughput capacity, blinding tendency, wear rate, and equipment operating status.
When selecting screen media, the target aperture size and material particle size distribution should be confirmed first. The aperture size not only determines the classification cut, but is also influenced by material shape, moisture content, and screening method.
Rubber screen panels can typically be evaluated based on specific requirements for abrasion, impact, and noise control. Polyurethane screens, metal wire mesh, and other materials may be suited for different aperture sizes, particle gradations, and operating conditions. A larger aperture does not necessarily guarantee higher throughput, nor does a greater screen thickness always ensure better performance. Open area percentage, screen surface structure, material movement, and effective screening area must all be comprehensively considered.
