How to Choose Between CG and CGH Heavy-Duty Gravel Pumps?

Both CG and CGH belong to the heavy-duty gravel pump series; however, their specific performance ranges, structures, and application differences should be subject to your company's official technical documentation. It cannot be assumed that one model inherently offers a larger flow rate, higher head, or greater particle-passing capability solely based on the model letters.

When selecting between CG and CGH, the project's actual operating point should be determined first, including normal flow rate, maximum flow rate, required head, and pipeline conditions. Then, refer to the performance curve of the corresponding model to verify whether the operating point falls within the recommended operating range.

If the project involves replacing an existing pump, it is also necessary to verify the original pump model, installation dimensions, direction of rotation, inlet and outlet positions, coupling, baseplate, and drive equipment. Direct interchangeability between the new and old pumps cannot be assumed merely because they share the same discharge diameter.

What are the common spare parts for CG/CGH gravel pumps?
Common spares include impellers, pump casings, liners, shaft sleeves, seal components, and bearing assemblies. Customers can provide the pump model, part number, drawings, dimensions, or photos to identify replacements. For exact flow rate, head, max particle size, material, and matching power, please refer to the confirmed CG/CGH technical documentation. The above FAQ structure is organized by application, operating conditions, sizing, customization, and spare parts.
Can CG/CGH gravel pumps be customized?
Yes. We can customize selections and configurations based on flow rate, head, slurry properties, particle size, wet-end materials, drive types, inlet/outlet orientation, and installation conditions.
Are CG/CGH gravel pumps suitable for handling large particles?
Engineered for slurries with gravel and large solids, this series provides high particle-passing capability. The actual maximum particle size depends on the specific model and technical specifications.
How to select CG/CGH gravel pump specifications?
For pump sizing and selection, parameters such as flow rate, head, conveying distance, discharge height, slurry concentration, max particle size, pipe specs, suction conditions, and operating hours are required.
What media can CG/CGH gravel pumps handle?
This series can handle gravel, mineral sands, mud, river sediments, and other slurries containing solids. Specific suitability depends on particle size, concentration, density, and abrasiveness.
What applications are CG/CGH heavy-duty gravel pumps suitable for?
CG/CGH heavy-duty gravel pumps are primarily used for river sand mining, gravel conveying, mine tailings discharge, dredging, and other slurry transport operations involving large solid particles.
