How to Determine if the Impeller and Pump Casing Need Replacement?

The replacement timing for the impeller and pump casing should not be determined solely by fixed operating hours. Differences in medium particle size, solid content, operating point, piping layout, and maintenance condition will all cause component wear rates to vary.

A drop in flow rate is not necessarily caused entirely by impeller wear. Suction clogging, pipeline sedimentation, changes in valve status, speed reduction, increased slurry concentration, and measurement errors can also cause similar issues.

Therefore, it is recommended to first record the flow rate, pressure, current, vibration, medium properties, and operating hours before shutting down the equipment for inspection according to maintenance requirements.

During disassembly and inspection, record the wear locations, remaining dimensions, and damage patterns of the impeller and pump casing. If the same abnormal wear recurs at a specific location, further inspect the pump's operating point, piping layout, wet-end component clearances, rotation direction, and medium conditions.

For continuous operations or overseas projects, it is recommended to prepare impellers, pump casings, liners, shaft sleeves, seals, and other matching spare parts in advance based on historical wear patterns to minimize downtime caused by waiting for replacement parts.

How to request a pump parts quote from Senchuan?
Please provide the part name, OEM model, part number, mounting dimensions, medium parameters, quantity, photos or drawings, and delivery destination.
How to select wear-resistant materials for impellers and casings?
Selection requires a comprehensive assessment of particle size, hardness, solids content, flow velocity, temperature, and corrosiveness, not just the pump name.
Can impeller and casing materials be customized?
Yes. Material solutions can be evaluated based on slurry concentration, particle size, wear severity, temperature, and corrosiveness.
Can replacement parts be manufactured from samples?
Yes. We can evaluate structure and dimensions based on physical samples, drawings, or dimensional data, and arrange production upon confirmation.
How to confirm the model of impellers and casings?
Please provide OEM brand, pump model, part number, drawings, dimensions, photos, and medium information for technical verification.
Can impellers or casings be purchased separately?
Yes. Customers can purchase impellers, casings, or other matching parts separately for maintenance and replacement.
Which industrial pumps do impellers and casings fit?
They mainly fit slurry pumps, gravel pumps, dredge pumps, submersible slurry pumps, froth pumps, and other slurry handling equipment.
What products are included in the pump parts series?
The series mainly includes impellers and casings. Liners, shaft sleeves, seals, and other wear parts can also be evaluated based on pump model.
